Portraiture

I painted this portrait of my brother and was curious to see what it would look like in other art styles.  Here are the cel shaded, pixel and vector versions:

 Ultimately the painterly styled portrait looked the most like the subject, with the vector style resembling him the least.  Perhaps the reason painterly styled portraiture is most common is because it is the easiest style to achieve portraiture resembling the subject?
